Welcome to All Visitors
We pride ourselves in offering a very warm welcome to everyone who comes into our Church. The first person you meet when walking through the door will be one of our team of dedicated Welcomers.
When to arrive:
If it's your first visit then it's best to give yourself a little time before the start of the service you’ve selected and to allow our Welcome Team to make your acquaintance
and answer any queries.
What to expect:
For most of us, going anywhere for the first time can be a nerve-racking experience but we aim to offer you a friendly and warm welcome.
The order and format of each service is printed out whilst hymns and bible readings are displayed on a large screen. We offer separate children’s groups, meeting in the Hall but children are welcome to stay with their parents if they prefer. For the very young, we offer a supervised crèche and also dedicated space at the rear of church as an alternative.
After our 10.30 am service, we offer tea and coffee in the Hall and this is a good way to start to get to know people.
Our belief and aims:
We believe in the importance of Bible-based teaching and every service will include a talk based on the Bible which is relevant to our modern lives.
We accept the challenge of making an unchanging gospel message fresh to each succeeding generation.
We strive to understand the mission of God in our community and work out how we can best serve our community as a church and as individuals.
We seek to offer pastoral care to all age groups and with specific ministries to families and to the active retired and elderly.
We encourage all church members to reflect on their gifts and skills and offer them in the service of God’s church.
For disabled people:
Our premises are wheelchair accessible and we have a couple of reserved parking spaces for blue badge holders, which are near both the Church entrance and the Church Hall. There is a fully wheelchair accessible toilet in both the Church and Hall. We have a loop for hearing aid users. If you have more specific needs, please talk to any of the wardens or sidespersons who are on duty.
