Our Vision for St James

We want to be a growing church and hope that you will find a spiritual home amongst us. We are here to help people find God and grow in a relationship with Him, serving our community with the gifts God has given us. 

Our vision is that St James church be a place where:

• the Gospel is preached
• the lost are found
• believers are equipped
• the poor are served
• the lonely are enfolded into our community

and where God gets the glory for it all.

Our belief and aims:
We believe in the importance of Bible-based teaching and every service will include a talk based on the Bible which is relevant to our modern lives.

We accept the challenge of making an unchanging gospel message fresh to each succeeding generation.

We strive to understand the mission of God in our community and work out how we can best serve our community as a church and as individuals.

We seek to offer pastoral care to all age groups and with specific ministries to families and to the active retired and elderly.

We encourage all church members to reflect on their gifts and skills and offer them in the service of God’s church.
