Electoral Roll 2020

NOTICE OF REVISION OF CHURCH ELECTORAL ROLL

Notice is hereby given that the Church Electoral Roll for the parish of St James Birkdale will be revised by the Parochial Church Council beginning Saturday 19th September 2020 and ending on Sunday 4th October 2020.

A copy of the formal notice can be viewed here.

The Church electoral roll is the foundation of the whole structure of synodical government in the church. It contains the names and addresses of everyone who can vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting.

The electoral roll is revised annually but every six years each parish is required to prepare a new electoral roll. This was last done in 2019. If you are currently on the Electoral Roll you don't need to do anything.

New people can apply to be added to the Electoral Roll by filling out an application for enrolment form. These are available to download below. Paper copies are also available in the Welcome Area at St James or can be obtained by contacting the Parish Office.

In order to comply with recent changes in legislation we now need your consent on how we contact you, so you will also need to complete a GDPR consent form as well, if you have not already done so.
