A Warm Welcome to All Visitors

We appreciate that for most of us going anywhere for the first time can be a daunting experience. At St James Birkdale we aim to offer a very warm welcome to everyone who comes into our Church. The first person you meet when walking through the door will be one of our team of dedicated Welcomers.

What to expect:
Hymns and bible readings can be followed in books and are also displayed on large projection screens. Large print versions of the notices and service are also available.

Children are always welcome to stay with their parents in Church. For the very young we have a dedicated space at the rear of church and we can offer suitable activities for the older children.

After our 9.45 am service we hope that you will be able to join us for tea and coffee in church or sometimes in the Hall. This is a good way to start to get to know people in an informal and friendly environment.

For disabled people:
Our premises are wheelchair accessible and we have three reserved parking spaces for blue badge holders, which are near both the Church entrance and the Church Hall.  There is a fully wheelchair accessible toilet in both the Church and Hall.  We have a loop for hearing aid users. If you have more specific needs, please talk to any of the wardens or sides-persons who are on duty.
